War in Iraq
I have to link to this. Don't need to say much about it. (0.5Mb of Flash)
History has a lot to teach us. I quote:
'Baghdad was also taken by storm, 20,000 of its citizens were massacred, and all its monuments were destroyed.'
Not 2003/2004. This time it was Timur 'The Lame' (Tamerlane) in 1402.
And as for Afghanistan..here's another lesson.
What separates man from beast is memory. Memory guides us and allows us to remember life's lessons. Fire burns. Water quenches. Similarly, history is our collective memory. The world's memory. And to ignore the lessons it yields is tantamount to putting your hand in the fire. Which the 'Coalition of the Willing' are now learning.
Do you wanna scare someone? Then cut of their favourite horse's head and put it in their bed.
